About Me

SaaS Operations Manager -  Since Jan. 2011 I have managed a dedicated team of Software Developers, QA and Release Engineers at PointRight Inc. in Lexington, MA.  Mentoring team members and overseeing the day-to-day 24x7 operations of PointRight's Software as a Service software infrastructure is a very rewarding experience for me.  I take great pleasure in working with dedicated software professionals who have pride in their work and are dedicated to making and maintaining the best software applications for our clients.

Software Developer - For over 30 years, I have worked in the field of Software Development.  Software is my passion.  I continue to enjoy the challenge of creating highly-reliable and useful software applications.

Entrepreneur - In 1985 I cofounded Inner Media, Inc.  Over a 23 year period, Inner Media produced many highly-regarded software products for the Desktop Publishing, Data Compression, Operating System Utility and Networking markets.  Collage Complete, DynaZip, Active Delivery, SqueezePlay and Wide-Angle were among the most successful of our offerings.  DynaZip was chosen by Microsoft Corporation as the technology engine behind the Windows Compressed Folders feature.  SqueezePlay is used by many large corporations to dynamically compress and reduce content served over the Internet.  Collage Complete was one of the first full-featured Screen Capture and Image Management solutions used by authors and publishers to include screen shots of software applications in their books and publications.

Hardware Developer - After graduating college, I worked with Hickok Teaching Systems, Inc. to develop a Teaching computer system with software, firmware and courseware that was used in colleges, universities, military installations and industrial classrooms throughout the world to facilitate the teaching of computer hardware problem troubleshooting and software/firmware design.

Later I became the first computer software/hardware engineer in the PC development group at NEC Information Systems, Inc.  I helped to develop the first NEC PC that later became the PC of choice for those seeking an alternative to the IBM PC.  I also became the Project Manager and then Section Manager for the PC Development group at NEC Information Systems.
